Unwavering curiosity and passion for good design led to Kind Cup

The Kind Cup story begins with Christine Brown, Kind Cup designer and founder. The first menstrual cup Christine was introduced to was, oddly enough, sitting out on a friend's nightstand while they were getting ready to celebrate pride in Washington D.C. in 2011.  What started as a conversation about how menstrual cups made periods so much more convenient and sustainable, planted the seed for what would later become Kind Cup.

Dozens of new menstrual cup brands entered the market in the years following, yet a critical aspect was still missing - a menstrual cup design that worked with and complimented the natural curvature and movements of the body,so Christine got to work.

From the start, Brown believed menstrual cups should put the user experience first and set out to design a more comfortable, effective, and easy to use period product.

While great design was at the forefront, Brown also wanted to create new industry standards across the board regarding material quality, overall sustainability, and social impact.

As a bootstrapped startup, it’s been a lot of work, but we are fueled and humbled by the feedback that our innovative and patented cup design has created a more positive experience in the lives of people with periods, while also creating a positive impact on the planet.

Our early supporters and loyal fans have been amazed at what a difference our unique cup has made in their lives! They've also appreciated our commitment to using the highest quality, most sustainable materials throughout. It's not cheap to meet these self-imposed high standards, but we've been transparent from the start in that we prioritize health, safety, and sustainability over profit. Kind Cup clearly states our materials because what we place inside our bodies matters. No omissions or clever language - Kind Cup customers know and trust what they are using.

Everything we do at Kind Cup is guided by our ethos of being "kind to your body, the earth, and others" and believing that together, we can make a positive impact. We donated 15% of our inventory to be distributed in historically underserved communities simultaneous with our launch, and continue a strong commitment towards our Kind Impact to this day.

Thank you for being part of our ethos and journey. We are excited for you to join us in experiencing a "better period, better planet."
